Delicious, healthy and easy recipe for Flapjack.
12 oz porridge oats,
2 oz demerera/brown sugar,
6 oz sunflower/soya margerine,
4 oz golden syrup
nuts and seeds to taste
Mix oats, sugar and other dry ingredients together. (Good nuts and seeds to use include sunflower and pumpkin seeds and walnuts and pine nuts).
Melt margerine and syrup together and then add dry ingredients, take off heat and mix well. Then add to baking tray and bake for about 15 minutes on high heat - 180 degrees C - or until top is golden brown. Then put in fridge for several hours/overnight to set.
Do not overbake to maintain moistness.
