Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

¼ cup finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbs cooking oil
¾ cup catsup
1/3 cup vinegar
1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
2 tbs brown sugar
1 tsp celery seed
1 tsp dry mustard
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
¼ tsp bottled hot pepper sauce

Method

Cook onion and garlic in oil till onion is tender, but not brown.

Stir in catsup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, celery seed, dry mustard, salt, pepper and bottled hot pepper sauce.

Bring mixture to boiling, reduce heat and simmer sauce uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking.smrtovnice
